Life Transitions Therapy

Support for navigating change and figuring out what comes next

Change is part of life, but that doesn't mean it's always easy to navigate.

Sometimes a transition is something you've been looking forward to. Other times, change happens unexpectedly. And sometimes nothing dramatic has happened—you simply realize that where you are now isn't where you want to stay.

Therapy can give you a place to slow down, sort through what you're feeling and begin figuring out what comes next.

When Life Starts to Feel Different

Life transitions can happen at any age and for many different reasons.

You might be:

  • Considering a career change or wondering what's next professionally

  • Navigating a relationship change or divorce

  • Adjusting as children grow up or leave home

  • Experiencing changes in friendships or family relationships

  • Coping with a change in your health or the health of someone you love

  • Becoming a caregiver

  • Adjusting to retirement or thinking about the next stage of life

  • Starting over after a loss or unexpected change

  • Realizing that something in your life no longer feels right

  • Feeling stuck even though everything looks fine from the outside

You don't have to be in crisis to come to therapy.

Sometimes the question is simply, “What do I want now?”

A Place to Figure Out Your Next Step

When life changes, it can be difficult to separate what you actually want from what you think you're supposed to want.

Therapy can provide space to think about your priorities, relationships, choices and the direction you want your life to take.

My role isn't to tell you what your next step should be. We'll work collaboratively to understand what's happening, identify the strengths and resources you already have, and explore what moving forward might look like for you.
